COVID-19 Updates for CKS Community

Updated on Oct. 12, 2020

Dear Parents,

We hope that this message finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. Many of you are aware of Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins' announcement yesterday in regard to the Local Health Authority of Dallas County order for the delayed reopening of Dallas County schools. We are working with the Diocese of Dallas Catholic Schools Office (CSO), and we will be sharing what this means for Christ the King Catholic School next week.

As a result of this update, our grade level meetings will be rescheduled until after we hear from the CSO so that we may answer your questions once we know if we will be starting the school year physically present or through E-Learning. Either way, the start of school will not be August 10th.

The pdf link below this letter is a draft of our CKS Reopening Plan, which will continue to be updated in order to reflect the most recent guidelines.

In closing, St. Teresa is known for the saying, “remember we belong to one another.” This reminds us of our Catholic Social Teaching’s call to family and our responsibility to the common good and well-being of one another. As Crusaders Who Care, we are blessed to be on this journey with you to provide the best for our students. Thank you for your patience during these challenging times.

Dr. O'Sullivan and Dr. Bosco
