Miss Ackels

Welcome to 2nd grade gold! My name is Michelle Ackels, and this is my first year to teach at Christ the King. Last year I served as an aide in both of the 2nd and 4th grade classrooms. I was born and raised here in Dallas along with my three brothers and attended Catholic Schools from K-12th grade. I then graduated from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!!) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. I also received my Masters Degree from TCU in Elementary Education.

It is an honor to be a part of such a wonderful community here at Christ the King. My goal this year is to provide a safe, warm, and loving environment in which your child will thrive educationally, socially and emotionally. I am very excited about working with your children and having the opportunity to prepare them for First Reconciliation and First Communion. We are going to have an amazing year!

In my spare time, I enjoy being with family and friends, spending time outdoors (especially by the pool!), shopping, going to sporting events (TCU, Mavs, golf), baking, and trying new restaurants.
