Mrs. Bresie

I was born in Kobe, Japan, the daughter of two English teachers. After spending the first five years of my life in Japan, my parents settled in Dallas where I spent the majority of my childhood. I attended Greenhill School from kindergarten through 12th grade.

For college I made the trek north to Kenyon College located in Gambier, OH. There I earned a degree in history with a specialty in American Literature. I continued my education at the University of Texas at Austin where I earned a Master’s Degree in American Studies, again focusing on literature and early 20th century social history. I did my graduate work in Education at Texas State University in San Marcos. Because learning is never over, I also recently began a Masters in Theology program which I hope to continue.

I spent two years teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade English and Literature at St. Mary’s Catholic School outside of Austin, but I felt called to return to Dallas. This is my second year at Christ the King, and I feel blessed to work in such a caring environment.
