Important Due Dates

Week of May 12

4th Quarter

Grade 2 will begin learning about fractions and continue learning the basic multiplication facts. Please drill your students every night on the multiplication facts.

Grade 3 willcontinue the chapter on Customary and Metric Measurement. Please practice the muiltiplication and division facts with your children every night for at least fifteen minutes.

Grade 4 will begin the Geometry chapter. Please have your children practice the basic multiplication and division facts every night for fifteen minutes.

Grade 5 will learn how to calculate perimeter, area, and volume by using formulas.

Parents:

As the school year is drawing ro a close, please consider some Math classes for reinforcement or remedial work during the summer months to keep your students' skills shar. CKS offers the Discovery Camp Program in June that I highly reccommend. Of course, there are other programs and/or tutoring that could also be considered.

It is VERY important that all students practice and commit to memory the basic facts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Depending on your child's grade level, please practice with them daily these important Math skills!
