Mrs. LeClaire
I am Amy LeClaire. I
have worked a Christ the King for one year.
I enjoy working with all my students. I am
a Certified Academic language therapist
teaching reading. I teach using a
multi-sensory approach so students actively
learn to read. I feel the greatest gift a
child who struggles in reading receives is
the ability to read fluently. I work to
accomplish this with my students.
I graduated from Northern
Michigan University with a B.S. and Baylor
University with a M.S. in Speech Pathology.
I also graduated from SMU with a certificate
in Learning Therapy. While receiving my
training, I started a private practice
working with children who have dyslexia and
reading difficulties. I have worked with
children in this area to the last two and a
half years.
I enjoy working in my garden,
reading, and running. The running is a new
activity that I have come to enjoy. I have
two wonderful children, who are growing up
very quickly.
