Mrs. LeClaire

      I am Amy LeClaire.  I have worked at Christ the King for five years.  I enjoy working with all my students.  I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist, teaching reading. I teach a multi-sensory approach to learning so students actively learn to read.  I feel the greatest gift to a child who struggles in reading is the ability to read fluently.

      I graduated from Northern Michigan University with a B.S. and Baylor University with a M.S. in Speech Pathology.  I also graduated from SMU with a Certificate in Learning Therapy.  While receiving my training, I started a private practice working with children who have dyslexia and reading difficulties.  I have worked with children in this area to the last six and a half years.   

      I enjoy working in my garden, reading, and running.  I have two wonderful children, who are growing up very quickly.
