Welcome to Music class!

My name is Andrea Morse and this is my first year at Christ the King. I am very excited to bring music into the classroom this year. I believe that all students have the ability to create music and deserve high-quality musical experiences. I strive to implement in my students music literacy and a lifelong appreciation of music.

While I have grown up in Texas, I recently graudated Summa Cum Laude with a masters degree in Clarinet Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Before that, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Music Education at the University of Houston. I also have training in the Kodály concept, an approach to general music that emphasizes an understanding of music through singing and listening. In addition to introducing music to young people as I do here, I also enjoy teaching and playing clarinet.
