Mrs. Wood

Welcome to fourth grade!  I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such great students in this warm community.

I grew up in Wichita, Kansas in a large, loving Catholic family, the fifth out of seven girls.  My parents blessed me with a Catholic education that served as a strong support for my faith formation.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University and my master’s degree from the University of Dallas while working in marketing.  Through the years of raising my children (also in Catholic Schools),  I have been involved with teaching youth in various capacities including teacher’s aide,  preschool teacher, athletic director, trip sponsor, and many years of coaching multiple sports.  These experiences, along with personal reflection, inspired me to extend my education and pursue a vocation in teaching.  To me, Catholic education partners with the family as a means of strengthening the spiritual and moral foundation of students. 

I am lucky to be encouraged and sustained by my own close family; my husband, Mike, my sons Jay and Sam, and my daughter, Anna.
