I am very excited to be starting my fourth year teaching fifth grade at Christ the King. I started my teaching career at Holy Name of Jesus in Ft. Worth teaching fifth grade, and from there I taught in Germany with the Department of Defense. On returning to the States I again was in the Catholic schools teaching middle- school Math at St. Thomas Acquinas. When my son, Nicholas, was born I stayed home with him and then with my daughter, Rachel, all the while tutoring students with learning differences. I finally went back to teach full time in a private school for children with learning differences and did this for 13 years. With my Masters degree is Counseling and my training and experience teaching children who learn differently, my goal is to embrace every child as the bright, capable learner that he or she is.
Having been raised in the Catholic schools myself and with my children receiving a Catholic education I know the great impact a God-centered environment can have on an individual. I look forward to a very exciting and productive school year knowing that I will be learning as much as the students. Thank you for sharing your children with me.
