Endowment Trust Fund

Father Donald Zimmerman came to Christ the King Church in 1994.  He soon took note of the thriving fundraising effort led by the spirited CKS Mothers’ Club.  The mothers had amassed over $306,000 that needed a place to go to comply with Church Canon law.  One of Father Zimmerman’s dreams was to ensure the long-term strength of the school through a source of permanent funding.  Thus was created, in 1996, the Christ the King School Endowment Trust Fund.

Christ the King School is the sole beneficiary in perpetuity under the Endowment Trust Agreement.  The purpose of the Endowment is to educate the children of Christ the King and advance those activities that improve and enhance their education.  Annually up to 5% of the average of the prior three years’ fiscal year-end market value may be distributed from the Endowment’s principal toward this purpose.  This income assists the school in building the strong academic foundation that enables our students to attend the high schools of their choice.

More than a decade later, the Mothers’ Club has become the Christ the King School Parents’ Association.  Father Zimmerman is now Monsignor Zimmerman, and parishioners have grown the Endowment tenfold.  Monsignor’s vision is that the Endowment enjoy exponential growth so that one day it is a major source of funding on which the school can depend year after year.
