ACCELERATED READING PROGRAM

Christ the King School's Accelerated Reading program is a Literature–Based Reading Computerized Program.  The purpose of the program is to motivate students to read more and choose better books, to improve reading scores, to build higher — order thinking skills, and to foster a lifelong love of reading.

Each quarter students have an opportunity to come to the "Reading Store" to spend points that they earn.  CKS provides an "Ice Cream Party" for students reaching their goal at the end–of–the–year.
