Billie Houpt

I am an honors graduate of the University of Mississippi holding a master's degree in Secondary English K-12. I also possess certification in Reading and Gifted Education. I have teaching experience in public school systems, night schools, private tutorial agencies, public tutorial systems, summer schools, summer camps, and private tutorials. I am a member of Who's Who Among American High School Teachers and a member of the Cambridge Professional and Executive Women in America. I have enjoyed my teaching experience at Christ the King for what seems like a very short time because, as we know, cherished time spent teaching is never counted or lost!
I have always had a love for writing and literature, students, and life-long learning. I am greatly honored to be a part of the faculty of Christ the King School so that I may continue to accomplish goals I have set and meet the needs of all of my students.
I feel that an effective personal guideline for teaching is one of "Share, Care, and Be Aware." I wish to "share" all the experiences and knowledge that I have collected throughout my teaching profession, "care" about my curriculum, colleagues, community, and students who are performing their best, and "be aware" that each student has his own learning style and pace to accomplish the objectives that have been established to achieve success in the course.
